Whistle-stop tour of Analox Military Systems 2016

Alan and Mark with Queens commemorative album

Chairman Alan Harbottle (L) and Managing Director Mark Lewis (R) with the Queen's Commemorative Album

[22/12/16] This year has been jam-packed for AMS, with new team members, research developments, signed contracts and around the world trips. Here’s just a snapshot of the year letting you know what we’ve been up to…

Analox donated a portable nitrox analyser to the Defence Medical Services (DMS) Diving Club.

DMS Diving Club

DMS diving club are based at the Royal Centre for Defence Medicine in Birmingham and offer a variety of courses for divers in the Defence Medical Services.

To help them on future trips, Analox has donated an O2EII Pro nitrox analyser to the club, which is our small, portable and battery operated. It can be used to check the concentration of oxygen within a dive gas mix directly at the tank.

Members of the AMS team have been involved in our company charity days, which allow employees to take one day a year out of the office to give their time to charity, attending SARA (Saltburn Animal Rescue Association) and manning a stand encouraging ‘make a wish’ donations for Children’s Charity, Zoe’s Place.

Warm welcomes

The AMS team welcomed a new member this year, taking on the role of Technical Support. Ian Childes has been recruited to ensure product training is delivered and fully supported both internally and externally adding both knowledge and experience to the team.

We’ve also welcomed a new distributor on board this year who, like all our distributors, are committed to selling our products throughout militaries worldwide.Ciros Enterprises, based in Pakistan is actively involved with the Defence Departments in Pakistan and became an official distributor in September.

Royal Acclaim

One of the most exciting things to happen to AMS in 2016, if not its history, was being named as a key supplier amongst a small selection of organisations in the UK and Commonwealth who have strong ties to Britain as part of the Queens 90th birthday celebrations. Analox Military Systems were named in the area of manufacturing in the official commemorative book for Her Majesty’s  birthday, which has been distributed to VIP’s including Heads of State and is available through specially selected retail channels.

Globe trotters

Jo at UDWG

The nature of our business takes us all over the world, but we truly believe in building relationships with our partners and customers, we therefore feel it's important to visit and meet face to face, whether that’s exhibiting at a show with our products or attending meetings to deliver presentations and discuss requirements. This year the team have attended UDWG in Hamburg, UDT in Oslo, SMERWG, which was held in Portsmouth,  Asia Pacific Submarine Conference (APSC) in Fremantle and walked the floor at Paris’s Euronaval. They’ve also made visits to see customers in Germany, Sweden, Perth (Aus) and France...phew!

Many of you will have contributed to our year and we thank you for your continued business and support.

In 2016 we secured new contract work with several of our customers including Saab Kockums, DCNS, BAE Systems and Babcock International.

Analox will close for the Christmas and New Year holidays at 3pm on Friday 23 December 2016, reopening at 8:30am on Tuesday 3 January 2017.

Happy Holidays, we hope you have a wonderful time and we look forward to working with you in the New Year.
