[17/08/16] The man featured on Analox Military Systems’ (AMS) two-page spread in the Queen’s 90th birthday album has been presented with his own copy of it to remember the occasion.
Several years ago, Paul Burton MBE, Diving, Escape and Rescue Specialist, featured in a video for Analox to promote the Sub MkIIP.
This also included photographs of him taking note of the readings from the product, such as the amount of CO2 and O2 in the atmosphere of a submarine.
The photo was selected to accompany the text about AMS in the official commemorative album for The Queen’s 90th birthday.
Paul has previously met The Queen after he was awarded a Military MBE in the 2009 New Year’s Honours List for his work in Submarine Escape and Rescue and the Alamanda Project.
He was at the Submarine Escape Training Tank (SETT) in Gosport for 16 years, and he first had contact with Vicky Pigg, Sales and Marketing Director, during his time spent working with Alamanda.
He was surprised to find out he was featured in The Queen’s 90th birthday album, and was interested in seeing in a copy of it, so he was given one by Mark Lewis, Managing Director, Analox.
The publication called ‘The Queen at 90’, celebrates the life and reign of the Queen and showcases a selection of organisations in the UK and Commonwealth, or with strong ties to Britain.
Vicky Pigg was invited to The Queen's 90th Birthday Celebrations which took place from 12 to 15 May in Home Park, Windsor Castle.
She attended the last day of the event which was broadcast live on TV and featured TV duo Ant and Dec and singer Katherine Jenkins.
During the same day Analox hosted a family fun carnival open day for all its staff and their families.
Over a hundred people attended the family event, which was declared a resounding success.
