Distributor profile: Logsub
[25/01/17] Logsub is a Brazilian company founded in 2008 with the purpose of developing projects and logistics solutions for the Brazilian and other South American Navies, as well as offering various services to naval units and the offshore market.
Armando Repinaldo is the Director of Logsub, and his staff consist of engineers that are specialised in several areas such as electronic, electrical, oil & gas and mechanical.
Logsub became an official agent for Analox in 2013 but have previously worked with the company for several years, and they have supplied Analox’s SDA’s and Sub MkIIP’s to the Brazilian Navy.
A wide range of services
Logsub offers many services and has carried out several projects involving the repair and maintenance of ships, submarines and other navigational facilities.
They have implemented Public Private Partnership projects in the defence sector in the area of submarine escape and rescue, recovery and underwater activities and nationalisation of items and systems for ships and submarines in partnership with other national companies.
Logsub are undertaking several long-term projects which will require atmosphere monitoring and Analox hope to provide products for these in the future.
One of the projects is preparing a new base for building submarines including a Submarine and Training Tank (SETT) facility for submariners and navy divers.
They are also going to be involved in the planning of Brazil’s first nuclear-powered attack submarine, which is being built by the Brazilian Navy.
Construction on Brazil’s new submarine is expected to commence this year and its target launch date is 2025.
As well as Brazil, Logsub also work with a company in Chile called Internacional General Supply. The agent that works on their behalf is Hernan Castillo, Engineer Contracts Manager, who markets and demonstrates Analox’s products to the Chilean armed forces, including Sub MkIIP’s.
